Tirupati's ISKCON temple received a bomb threat on Sunday via email, claiming ISIS terrorists would blow up the temple. Soon after the temple received the threat, a team of Bomb Disposal Squad (BDS) and dog squad reached the spot and a search operation was launched at the temple, but no explosives or any other objectionable items were recovered.
A probe has been ordered in the matter as cops look for further details.
On Friday, four hotels in Andhra Pradesh's Tirupati received bomb threat alerts via email. A thorough search operation was conducted at these hotels but no explosive was recovered.
There has been a series of bomb threats being issued to domestic and international flights. On Thursday, more than 80 domestic and international flights of Indian airlines received bomb threats. 20 flights each of Air India, Vistara, and IndiGo received bomb threats, while Akasha Air threatened 13 flights, PTI reported. Also, five flights each of Alliance Air and SpiceJet also received threats.
