Noida: A resident of Noida died after a fire broke out on the first floor of a residential complex on Friday. The deceased Shweta Singh was living on the second floor of the house and she died because of smoke inhalation. Reportedly, the fire broke out due to cylinder explosion on the first floor of a house located in Sector-27.
''Today, on 11.10.2024, information was received about fire due to cylinder explosion on the first floor of a house located in Sector-27 Noida under Police Station Sector-20 area, on which Additional Police Commissioner Law and Order, DCP Noida and CFO
1:49 pm. Gautam Buddha Nagar police force immediately reached the spot and the fire was completely extinguished by 03 vehicles of the fire service unit. The said house is made of four floors. There was a fire on the first floor, '' Noida police said.

After the fire was douse, a search operation was conducted and two women living on the second floor were found unconscious due to smoke. Further investigation in the case is underway.
'' The woman living on the first floor told that she had gone to the market at the time of the incident. She was informed about the fire on the board by her son. During investigation, it was found that there was a fire on the board which was caused by some firecrackers kept in the house. After the fire was extinguished, a search operation was conducted in the entire house and two women living on the second floor were found unconscious due to smoke, who were admitted to the hospital. People living on the first floor are safe. Sector-20 Police is investigating and taking further action,'' Statement of Noida Police read.
