A fire broke out at Jefferson Hospital in Jefferson Hills, Pennsylvania, with reports indicating that the blaze originated on the hospital's roof. Photos and videos captured smoke billowing from the site as emergency crews worked to contain the fire.
The blaze was first reported at 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday, filling several floors with smoke. The cause of the fire remains unknown at this time.
Meanwhile, several witnesses took to Facebook to report the blaze.
"Smoke on 4-3 floor," one person wrote.
Another wrote, "Just got code black on my phone from ems."
A third witness reported, "Just a FYI any who is going to or you know anyone going to Jefferson Hospital there is a big fire there. It's a 3 alarm fire."
Authorities have yet to issue an official statement regarding the fire.
