Euro hits one-year low against dollar

The euro struck a one-year low of $1.0596 on Tuesday, weakened by the prospect of new US import tariffs imposed by incoming president Donald Trump. The pound meanwhile fell nearly 1.1 percent against the greenback, to $1.2730, its lowest level since August.
