Mumbai: Industrialist Ratan Tata passed away on October 9 after being hospitalised for a few days in Mumbai. He was 86 years old, and his death has left a sense of grief among people across the nation, especially those closest to him. Among them is Shantanu Naidu.
A video has now surfaced on social media showing Shantanu Naidu on a motorcycle. He was going to pay his last respects to his dear friend when Mumbai police stopped him and asked for his identity and the purpose of the visit. The video quickly went viral on social media.

In the video, he is seen communicating about his identity to the cops. An X user, Prashant Yadav, posted the video and wrote, ''When Shantanu Naidu, the closest person to Ratan Tata was inquired regarding his identity by Mumbai Police.''

Friendship of Shantanu Naidu and Ratan Tata
The two became friends due to their shared love for the dogs. Shantanu was also made a member of the Board of Directors of Tata Small Animal Hospital in Mumbai. On LinkedIn, Naidu expressed his grief stating, "The hole that this friendship has now left with me, I will spend the rest of my life trying to fill. Grief is the price to pay for love."

Their friendship dates back to 2014 when Naidu, driven by a passion for animal welfare, formed reflective collars designed to protect stray dogs from accidents. Ratan Tata recognized Naidu's compassion and commitment and invited him to work alongside him. Over the years, their professional relationship blossomed into a close friendship, and later, Naidu became one of his closest companions during his later years.
