Dropbox users across the United States are facing widespread server issues, with many reporting difficulties accessing their files. As of 2:30 p.m. EDT, DownDetector had logged over 1,000 error reports.
Most users encountered the following message: "Error Something went wrong. Don't worry, your files are still safe and the Dropbox team has been notified. Check out our Status Page to see if there is a known incident, our help center and forums for help, or head back to home."
Many users also turned to X (formerly Twitter) to voice their frustrations.
"Ugh! Dropbox is down and now I have to upload my reel to Google DRIVE!? nooooo!!!" one person wrote.
Another inquired, "Dropbox, what's going on? Can't access the site. Can't access my drive. Friends having the same issue. Thanks!"
In response, Dropbox Support confirmed the outage via several tweets: "Hi there. Our team is aware of the issue and has opened an investigation: https://status.dropbox.com. Please keep an eye on that page for updates. If the incident is marked as resolved, and you still have issues, please do let us know. We're sorry for any inconvenience caused."
