A video showing MSNBC anchor Rachel Maddow "breaking down" live on air has gone viral on social media, with many users claiming she cried after Elon Musk shared memes about buying MSNBC. This came after the tech billionaire joked about buying the news channel in a meme shared on his X platform. "And lead us not into temptation….," Musk wrote in the post accompanied by a meme showing what appears to be a priest struggling to not lose his purity next to a woman exposing herself.
Soon after, the viral video clip of the anchor breaking down surfaced. The clip displayed the same meme that Musk posted and showed Maddow getting emotional.

Reacting to the video, a fifth user said, "She's crying because she knows her cash cow is coming to an end."
Here's the Truth-
The video showing Maddow crying over Elon Musk's meme is not real. It is an edited version. The original video from 2018 showed the anchor crying over a report on how migrant children were being "separated" from their parents and put into shelters.
In 2018, Rachel Maddow started crying on air because of a report on how migrant children were being “separated” from their parents & put into shelters. From 2021-2024 thousands of migrant children went missing, were r*ped, & some sadly d*ed.Not a single tear was shed. pic.twitter.com/hKjQXWuoFJ

The Elon Musk MSNBC Meme
The meme that Musk shared had the priest overlayed with the text "Elon Musk trying not to buy" while a logo of MSNBC was placed over the lady's bottom. The meme came amid speculations that the news channel's parent company Comcast had been considering spinning off nearly all of its cable channels into a new business called SpinCo.
