Vice President Kamala Harris on Wednesday spoke at the Congressional Hispanic Caucus Institute (CHCI) Leadership Conference, potentially as a way to reach out to Hispanic voters amid the upcoming elections. Some users on social media accused Harris of code switching, saying that the Democratic Party nominee spoke in a 'fake' Latino accent at the Ronald Reagan Building in Washington.

What Kamala Harris Said At Congressional Hispanic Caucus Institute Event
Speaking at the Congressional Hispanic Caucus Institute Leadership Conference, Kamala Harris addressed the immigration issue. She hit out at Trump calling for deportation, asserting that the US can find a pathway to citizenship for those who want to come and also secure the border. “We can do both, and we must do both,” she said.
“While we fight to move our nation forward to a brighter future, Donald Trump and his extremist allies will keep trying to pull us backward,” Harris said. “We all remember what they did to tear families apart, and now they have pledged to carry out the largest deportation, a mass deportation, in American history.”
