On Dev Uthani Ekadashi, the deities awaken from their divine slumber, marking the start of all auspicious activities. In Hinduism, this day is also known as Devotthan Ekadashi. Celebrated during the waxing phase of the Kartik month, Dev Uthani Ekadashi is considered an ideal day to please Goddess Lakshmi and Lord Vishnu. Their blessings are said to dissolve even the gravest of sins in mere moments.
Date of Dev Uthani Ekadashi
According to the Vedic calendar, the fast for Dev Uthani Ekadashi is observed annually on the day following the Dashami (tenth) day of the waxing phase in Kartik. This year, the Ekadashi begins at 6:46 pm on 11 November, concluding the next day, 12 November, at 4:04 pm.
