Salman Khan was threatened through a message on the WhatsApp number of Mumbai Traffic Control last week. In the case, the police have received another message from the same WhatsApp number in which the person who threatened has apologised. According to sources, the person who sent the message said that he sent the message by mistake and he is apologising for it.
The police have found the location of the person who sent this message in Jharkhand, and a police team has reached there in search of him.
Sources said that the person who sent the message had described himself as close to the Lawrence Bishnoi gang and claimed that he would make peace between Salman and Lawrence.
The threatening message received on the WhatsApp number of Mumbai Traffic Police said that Rs 5 crore was demanded from actor Salman Khan to end the long-standing enmity with Lawrence Bishnoi.
"Don't take it lightly," the WhatsApp message said, warning "Salman Khan's condition will be worse than Baba Siddique" if he fails to pay the ransom.
The threat message came days after the murder of ex-Maharashtra minister Baba Siddique, who was close to Salman Khan.
The Mumbai police had taken the threat message seriously and has launched investigations in relation to the matter.
"Don't take it lightly, if Salman Khan wants to stay alive and wants to end the enmity with Lawrence Bishnoi, then he will have to pay Rs 5 crore. If the money is not given, Salman Khan's condition will be worse than Baba Siddique," the threat message said.
The Mumbai police had increased security for Salman Khan after Siddique (66) was shot dead on October 12 night outside his MLA son Zeeshan Siddique's office in Mumbai’s upscale Bandra.
