New Delhi: The national capital witnessed hours-long overnight rain leading to traffic chaos at multiple locations due to massive waterlogging. Most of the areas in Delhi-NCR saw slow traffic after vehicles broke down at many places. The Delhi traffic police shared several posts on X over traffic diversion and said it was working to ease the same constantly.
Traffic on CV Raman Marg was affected at the carriageway from Sarai Julena towards Maharani Bagh due to breakdown of a bus near Royce Hotel. On Ring Road in the carriageway from Sarai Kale Khan towards ITO, vehicular movement was affected due to the breakdown of a loaded trailer in front of IP Park.
Traffic is also hit on MB road in the carriageway from Sangam Vihar towards Badarpur due to the breakdown of a bus near Lal Kuan Petrol Pump. On Mathura Road, in the carriageway from Badarpur towards Ashram, commuters were affected due to the breakdown of an LGV near Jasola Metro Station.
A dumper broke down at the carriageway on Maa Anandmai Marg from ESI Hospital towards Govind Puri hitting traffic in the area.
Traffic was affected on Road No 13A in the carriageway from Sarita Vihar underpass towards Crown Plaza due to breakdown of an MGV and on Anuvrat Marg due to breakdown of a bus near Qutub Minar Metro Station.
A truck broke down on NH-24 affecting vehicular movement on the carriageway from Gazipur towards Sarai Kale Khan on Khel Gaon Flyover.
Also, due to heavy rain and waterlogging traffic was affected on GTK Road on both the carriageway from Mukarba Chowk towards Azadpur chowk and vice versa. Commuters also faced difficulty on UER-II in the carriageway from Dwarka towards Mahipalpur after a loaded Dumper broke down.
Waterlogging on MB Road in both the carriageways from Khanpur towards Shooting Range T-Point and vice-versa was also hit along with movement on Najafgarh Road and Rohtak Road.
