New Delhi: Ever since the southwest monsoon is gone, the national capital came under the spell of heat. Temperature started rising, while humidity levels are troubling residents. During monsoon, Delhi saw the mercury settling around 30-34 degrees Celsius, but now the temperature has been shot up to 37 degrees. The New Delhi-Safdarjung station of the India Meteorological Department (IMD) recorded a maximum temperature of 37 degrees on Thursday. On Friday, the temperature will be 36 degrees. Though the monsoon is gone officially, Delhi is yet see some rain on October 5.

The clouds will remain remain mainly clear all day on Friday, with the maximum temperature at 36 degrees and minimum at 25. As mentioned earlier, October 5 is the date when the city will see light rain, with temperature at 35 degrees. The rain is likely to increase humidity level.

After which, the IMD forecasts no rain till October 9. During this time, there will be clear sky. The temperature will be consistently 35 degrees, except on October 7. That day, the city will experience 37 degrees Celsius.

Delhi AQI Today

According to an online platform monitoring air pollution in Delhi said the Air Quality Index (AQI) of New Delhi on October 4 is — Real-time PM2.5, PM10 air pollution in Delhi. The real-time pollution monitoring platform named AQI said the air quality in the city is in poor category. Meanwhile, Ghaziabad is at AQI of 187, and Noida at 183.

It should be noted that the Delhi government has already launched a 21-pointer action plan for winter. These measures will help the capital to prevent air quality to reach to dangerous levels.
