New Delhi: The Delhi Police investigating the alleged murder of a 28-year-old man in Sundar Nagri on November 15, found that the victim was killed by a group of men assaulting a woman. The victim had just left the park, and was going home when he noticed the incident and intervened. The Delhi Police has arrested four accused in the matter, while also confiscating a Ghupti, sharp blade, – weapon of offence.

Police officials affirmed that the man was trying to protect the girl when he was attacked. Manish, the victim, had received a call from his wife after which, he left the park with his uncle – Kishan Kumar. They spotted the accused harassing a girl, and confronted them. The argument turned into a physical fight. The incident happened around 9:25 pm near H Block in the area, reported Times of India.

Two of the accused – Salman and Arbaz from Sundar Nagar – stabbed Manish on his neck. Manish somehow escaped from there, and was rushed to the hospital but he could not survive, and died due to excessive blood loss, said Aman, Manish’s friend.

Girl in the Incident Confirms the Story

The police had initially registered a case of attempted murder, but changed it to murder after Manish died from his injuries at 4:30 am. Meanwhile, the girl who was being harassed by the accused gang, Aman and other eyewitnesses confirmed the series of events led to the death of Manish.

“Their father also came and threatened Manish’s uncle,” alleged Aman. Manish was the sole breadwinner for his family, which included his wife, a 4-year-old daughter, and a 2-month-old son. He worked with his uncle in their cable business.
