India will be hit with Padel fever over the next few days as the sport takes centre stage in Noida from November 19 to 24 as the Bennett University hosts the International Padel Federation's (FIP) Cupra Promotion Event with some of the top players set to showcase their talent in the country.

Some star Men and Women players will compete in the mega event as the sport is set to leave a lasting mark on the Indian audience. The tournament will take place over six days starting from November 19 (Tuesday) with the finals scheduled on November 24 (Sunday).

Cupra FIP Promotion India Padel Event – Schedule

The tournament will have total of four events with two each in men's and women's doubles. The competition will start with the qualifying draw in both categories before the main draw. The first two days will see the qualification events while the main draw will begin on Thursday.

Day -Wise Schedule

Tuesday (19th November) – 1st Round Qualification

Wednesday (20th November) – 2nd and 3rd Round Qualification

Thursday (21st November) – 1st Round Main Draw

Friday (22nd November) – 2nd Round Main Draw

Saturday (23rd November) – Quarterfinals and Semifinals

Sunday (24th November) – Finals

Prize Money

The tournament will have a total prize money of €5,000 (₹4.47 lakh approx)

Top Players:

More than 100 players (both Indian and International) are set to play in the tournament. In the men's doubles, the pairing of Netherlands' Thijs Roper and Great Britain's Samuel Jones is the top-seeded with the Spanish pair of Sergi Guimet Bigas and Joel Olivera Palos seeded second.

In the women's doubles draw, Japan's Kotomi Ozawa and Spain's Elisabeth Nogueras are the top seeds while another all-Spanish duo of Julia Gallifa Beltri and Patricia Molinos Ruparez are in second place.

About The Venue

The Bennett University in Greater Noida will host the tournament which has two dedicated padel courts. A footfall of 1500 is expected over the course of the tournament.
