Pickleball is one of the fastest growing sport in the world and players from different racquet-sport background, especially in tennis are shifting to pickleball due to it's easy-to-pick-up nature. But it is to be noted that only few people can master it and be consistent. USA's Connor Garnett, who used to be Serbian tennis great, Novak Djokovic's hitting partner, transitioned from tennis to pickleball back in 2022.
Garnett, who is one of the best pickleball players in the world and presently ranked No. 3 in the Men's Singles category of the PPA Rankings, also had a career in investment banking. He used to play D1 college tennis at Santa Clara University and even coached former Women's No.1 Simona Halep and many other tennis pros in the past.
The 27-year-old turned Pro in 2022 and is known for his explosive approach and quick reflexes on the court. He also takes pride in his strong backhand and in within a few years, he has made a huge impact in the pickleball world. In his very first pro tournament, he bagged silver medals in both Singles and Doubles category and till date, he has only got better.
Garnett is one of those guys, who is always looking to improve and feels that there is always scope to learn new things every day.
The USA star is presently competing at the ongoing Lapiplasty Pickleball World Championships in Dallas, which is the last Slam of 2024. Apart from the Singles category, Garnett is slowly and steadily making his presence felt in the Doubles and Mixed Doubles category as well.
