Clash During Mandsaur Procession Injures Two; Internet Suspended, Shops Shut

Two people were injured after violence broke out during a religious procession in Mandsaur, Madhya Pradesh on Monday. The incident happened when the two people, who were standing inside a temple near a bus stand, were injured during a stone-pelting incident. In response, a large crowd gathered at the bus stand, forcing nearby shops to shut down. The police swung into action to bring the situation under control, and quickly dispersed the crowd.

Internet has been shut down in the city and police remain alert. Teams have been formed for regular patrolling and marches across the area. The police and local political leaders from both sides have appealed for calm.
