Choi Hyun-Wook has found himself embroiled in a controversy. The Twinkling Watermelon actor accidently flashed his full in a now deleted Instagram story. While his post left his followers shocked, many called it an innocent mistake.

What is Choi Hyun-Wook's latest controversy?

On Wednesday, November 13, Choi posted a click of a Bearbrick figure on his Instagram stories, tagging the brand and other toy sellers. But, he missed out that the reflective material ended in him uploading his unintentional nude.

His followers took no time to notice the mistake in the reflection. Though the 22-year-old quickly deleted the post, it had already caused an online stir by then.

Though the actor has not spoke anything about it till now, his agency Gold Medalist told Korean media, "We have no comments to give at this time."

Choi's smoking controversy from 2023

This is not the first time Choi has triggered controversy. Last year, a footage of him disposing of a cigarette butt on the ground in a parking lot brought him under fire. He shared a handwritten letter expressing regret and also apologised to the public, during the press conference for his K-drama High Cookie which released in October 2023.

On work front

Choi made his acting debut with 2019 web series Real: Time: Love. He earned recognition for his roles in Weak Hero Class 1, Twenty-Five Twenty-One and DP Season 2. The K-drama star also starred in NewJeans’ Ditto music video.

His biggest success so far has been TV show Twinkling Watermelon where he layed the character of Ha Yi-Chan in the past timeline. He’s a cheerful, happy-go-lucky high schooler who forms a school band and leads as a guitarist. He lives with his grandmother and falls in love with a girl who cannot speak or hear.

The time travel K-drama follows the story Ha Eun-Gyeol (Ryeoun) who gets teleported to the time when his present day father (Ha Yi-Chan) was in school. He strikes a deep bond of friendship with his teenaged father and tries to rectify things while also understanding him and his mother better by befriending their younger versions.

Choi will next be seen in K-dramaMy Dearest Nemesis alongside Moon Ga-Young that is set to release in 2025.
