Light fire to the menu with this scrumptious Chicken Angara that will definitely give you a restaurant feel in the comfort of your home. Check it!!!
Ingredients required to make Chicken Angara –
1 tbsp Coriander seeds
1 tsp Cumin seeds
2 Dried red chillies
2 Dried Kashmiri chillies
1/2 tsp Black peppercorns
2 Cloves
2 Cardamom
1/4 Cinnamon sticks
5 Almonds
5 Cashews
500 gms Chicken
2 Tomatoes
2 tsp Ginger garlic paste
150 gms Curd
1 tbsp Dried fenugreek leaves
1 tsp Red chilli powder
Salt as required
1 cup Fried onions
1/2 cup Oil
Coriander leaves
1 Charcoal piece
Method to make Chicken Angara –
Dry roast coriander seeds, cumin seeds, dried red chillies, dried Kashmiri red chillies, black peppercorns, cloves, cardamom, cinnamon stick, almonds, cashews. Grind to make a fine powder.
Grind Fried Onion to make powder.
Marinate the chicken with prepared spice mix, powdered dried onions, ginger garlic paste, pureed tomatoes, curd, dried fenugreek leaves, salt, red chilli powder, oil.
Keep aside for 30 minutes.
Heat oil in a pan, add cumin seeds.
Add marinated chicken and cook till it is done.
For smokey flavour-
Heat charcoal and keep it in a bowl in between the gravy.
Add ghee to it and cover for 10-15 minutes.
Garnish with coriander leaves.
