New Delhi: As Chhath Puja approaches, banks in several states will be closed for four consecutive days from November 7 to November 10, 2024. This holiday period will affect customers in Bihar, Jharkhand, Delhi, and West Bengal, so it’s important to plan ahead to avoid any interruptions in banking services. Here is the list:
Bank Holidays On Chhath
On November 7 (Thursday), banks will be closed in Bihar, Delhi, Jharkhand, and West Bengal to mark Chhath Puja Evening Arghya. The next day, November 8 (Friday), banks will remain closed in Bihar, Jharkhand, and Meghalaya for Chhath Puja Morning Arghya and the Wangala Festival.
November 9 (Saturday) is the second Saturday of the month, which is a national bank holiday observed as per Reserve Bank of India (RBI) regulations. Finally, banks will also be closed on November 10 (Sunday) for the weekly closure.
Bank Holidays In November 2024
In addition to these holidays, there are several other bank holidays scheduled for November 2024. On November 3 (Sunday), all banks across the country will be closed. On November 15 (Friday), banks in certain states will close for Guru Nanak Jayanti/Kartik Purnima, impacting places such as Mizoram, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, and Odisha. November 17 (Sunday) will also see a national closure, followed by a holiday in Karnataka on November 18 (Monday) for Kanakadasa Jayanti. The fourth Saturday on November 23 will see banks closed again, along with a nationwide closure on November 24 (Sunday).
