Chennai: Seven students were arrested in Chennai for running a methamphetamine laboratory (meth lab) inside a rented home. It is reported that, in an attempt to make quick money and become millionaires, they decided to produce and sell drugs themselves and rented a house in Kodungaiyur. These students became involved in criminal activities as a result of their addiction to drugs. They researched how to make drugs online and bought the required raw materials from shops in Broadway and Sowcarpet in Chennai.

In separate news from Chennai, unmarried women seeking preventive healthcare are facing refusals for important tests like pap smears. Despite being crucial for the early detection of cervical cancer, many facilities in the city's health sector are not offering this test to unmarried women.

A tech professional recently encountered this issue while visiting a well-known diagnostic centre for a full-body check-up. After paying in advance for her health package, which included a standard pap smear, she was turned away simply because she was unmarried, as reported by Times of India.
