Five-time Indian Premier League champions Chennai Super Kings and the Sunrisers Hyderabad are among six IPL franchises who have submitted bids to buy teams in the Hundred. Friday was the last day for submitting first-round bids to buy teams in the tournament and most of the entities who have shown formal interest in doing so are Indian companies, mostly IPL franchises.
According to a report in Cricbuzz, CSK, SRH, Lucknow Super Giants, Mumbai Indians, defending champions Kolkata Knight Riders and the Delhi Capitals have all submitted bids to buy teams in the tournament, the England Cricket Board’s 100-ball per side event that has garnered quite some attention worldwide.
The report adds that although there has been no official confirmation, Rajasthan Royals have submitted a bid as well besides UP Warriorz, a franchise in the Women's Premier League which is owned by the Capri Global Group, a loan company.

Avram Glazer's Lancer Capitals, the co-owner of Manchester United and operators of the Desert Vipers team in the ILT20, are reportedly participating in the bidding as well, the report in Cricbuzz adds.
Royal Challengers Bangalore, which is owned by British firm Diageo, an alcoholic beverage company, didn't submit a bid besides the Punjab Kings, who didn't take the chance to own a team in the popular English league.
The Indian officials of CVC Capital, who own the Gujarat Titans, aren't aware of any developments over their office in the United Kingdom placing any bids.

As this is just the first round of the bidding, the investors don't need to select a team they want to bid for right away. According to the England Cricket Board, the second round of the bidding might take place after the IPL 2025 mega auction, which means it may be held in the first week of December.
