Chennai Rain LIVE Updates: Chennai, Thiruvallur, Kancheepuram, and surrounding areas will experience heavy rain, while the entire northern Tamil Nadu, from the delta to Thiruvallur, is likely to see heavy to very heavy rainfall. On the October 16, some of these areas could experience extremely heavy rainfall. In light of the anticipated cyclone, the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued an alert for Chennai on October 15, 16 and 17.
