Ingredients
3 cups water, 1/2 tsp cardamom powder, 1/2 tsp saunf powder, 1 tsp grated ginger, 2 tsp chai patti, jowar millet milk, palm jaggery
Step 1
Start by adding 3 cups of water to the saucepan. Bring the water to a rolling boil and add cardamom powder to it. Ensure that you’re not putting the spices as a whole but in powdered form for aroma and great flavour.

Once the mixture starts boiling and releasing its aroma, add saunf powder and stir gently. Simmer the mixture for 5-10 minutes and reduce the heat later.
Step 3
Now, freshly grate the ginger and add a tsp to the boiling water. Cook covered and allow the flavours to infuse completely. This step is considered necessary for a flavourful morning chai.

Next, add 2 tsp of tea leaves to the mixture and cover again with a lid. After the flavours are released and the water is turning a bit golden brown, add the tea mixture to the serving cup.
Step 5
Gently pour the mixture into a cup and top it with jowar millet milk. Stir gently and sweeten your tea with palm jaggery for a change. Serve immediately with cookies or savour as is for a delightful morning. Enjoy!
