The couple's first meeting was interesting, as per the profile in the Tampa Bay Magazine. Part of the New York DeBartolo business family, Nikki met Chad when the FBI National Academy Graduate was working in a security role for the family. They got married in 2010.
After her divorce, DeBartolo chose to stay in Tampa to raise her son Asher—now 21 and a University of Tampa student. With support from Chronister, this decision marked the moment Tampa truly began to feel like home for her, she told the Tampa Bay Magazine. Jack, meanwhile, is their only biological child.
