In a shocking incident, CCTV footage captured a Swiggy delivery partner engaging in an unusual act of theft. The video, recorded in a residential building, shows the man descending a staircase after completing a delivery. As he approaches the door, he pauses at a shoe rack placed by the entrance, appearing to glance around before focussing on the footwear displayed.
The footage reveals the delivery partner carefully inspecting the shoes. He first lifts a pair of sandals from the top of the rack, then picks up a second pair of shoes from beneath. After examining the items, he calmly takes the pair of shoes along with him before exiting the scene.
The video has sparked mixed reactions online. Some viewers expressed sympathy, suggesting the man might have been in need, while others speculated it might be a common occurrence, questioning the placement of the camera aimed directly at the shoe rack. The video has since gone viral, stirring debates about theft and compassion.
A user wrote, It could be that this poor guy is very needy and really needs a pair of shoes, and maybe it won’t make a difference to the owner. But stealing is not good. Maybe he thought that if he asked for the shoes, the owner would refuse, so that’s why he decided to steal, perhaps.”
