A series of earthquakes struck the Los Angeles area on Saturday. Tremors were felt in Ontario, Eastvale and Rancho Cucamonga. According to the US Geological Survey's preliminary data, a 3.5-magnitude earthquake shook Southern California. A quake hit the area just after 10 AM local time. The epicenter was about three miles southeast of Ontario. The small earthquake registered at a depth of about 6 kilometers. It was followed by a stronger 3.9 magnitude quake that was reported at 10:34 a.m. As of now, there were no reports of injuries or damages.

Volcano Discovery, a website that tracks earthquakes real time, received several reports of shaking.

"Light jolt no disturbance or damage to house or possession. Birds in the yard went quiet and disappeared around the time the first Ontario earthquake was reported then returned after the last occurred (the one i felt)," one Pomona resident reported.

A La Verne resident added, "I was sitting in a bed and hear rumbling, the glass shake, and the objects in the room to shake. For a few seconds. No damage."

In the afternoon, a 3.1 magnitude earthquake struck near Ensenada, Baja California. There was no reports of damages.
