Jammu and Kashmir To Have A New Government After 10 Years
Jammu and Kashmir witnessed three-way contest between Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Congress-National Conference (NC) and People's Democratic Party (PDP). The exit polls have predicted disappointment for the saffron camp as Congress-NC alliance are shown to secure more seats in the recently-concluded Assembly elections.
Even though the Congress-National Conference alliance is said to have an edge but no party is likely to touch the majority mark, the exit polls suggested.
NC-Congress is expected to bag 46-50 seats, People's Pulse exit poll shows. The BJP is likely to win 23 to 27 seats in Jammu and Kashmir, becoming the second-largest party in the Union Territory.
