The highly anticipated Pan India film Kannappa, featuring Vishnu Manchu in the titular role, boasts an impressive ensemble cast. To build excitement, the makers have been unveiling first-look posters every Monday. On September 30, the filmmakers introduced two key characters.
Brahmanandam Takes On The Role Of Pilaka
The legendary Brahmanandam, hailed as the King of Comedy, takes on the role of Pilaka, while the talented Sapthagiri portrays Gilaka. Together, they serve as the wise gurus, ready to impart their knowledge of wit and skills to the creatures of the forest. “To teach a fish how to swim, a tiger how to hunt, and a cuckoo how to sing… what would happen if these gurus came to teach the forest?” the poster intriguingly asks.
Brahmanandam and Sapthagiri are seen peeking from behind a tree in the poster, curiously observing something in the forest. With Sapthagiri sporting a cheerful grin and Brahmanandam looking astounded, the poster hints at the delightful and entertaining dynamic their characters will bring to the film.

Kannappa, crafted on a grand scale, is set to be a visual extravaganza with its extensive use of VFX. The filmmakers are dedicating significant time to perfecting the post-production phase, underscoring their commitment to delivering an exceptional cinematic experience.
Directed by Mukesh Kumar Singh and produced by Manchu’s AVA Entertainment and 24 Frames Factory, Kannappa features a stellar cast including Mohan Babu, Prabhas, Akshay Kumar, Mohan Lal, and Kajal Aggarwal. Kannappa is planned for a worldwide release in December.
