Rosé and Bruno Mars' APT criticised for promoting 'western values'

The official Public Health Malaysia Facebook page dropped a post that read, “Have you listened to Rosé and Bruno Mars’ APT?” In the post, the health organisation slammed the smash hit song for promoting Western ideas. “The term APT is used as a place of temptation, which normalizes behavior in the song that contradicts Eastern cultural values,” they wrote.

Public Health Malaysia's team then went on to warn parents and educators about the song. Stating that the song has been going viral across social media through video, the organisation wrote, "Children, in particular, might unconsciously sing along to these lyrics. As parents, educators and members of society, we should be cautious about accepting bad Western cultural influences without discernment. While there may be various interpretations and fans’ opinions in defense of this song, it’s important to analyze the lyrics and make one’s own judgment."
