Bengaluru: Taj West End Hotel in Bengaluru received a bomb threat reportedly through an email from unknown miscreants. The hotel, known for hosting prominent politicians and cricketers, received the threat on Saturday morning.

Shekar HT, DCP, Central Bengaluru told ANI, "Taj West End Hotel in Bengaluru received a bomb threat reportedly through an email from unknown miscreants. The hotel, known for hosting prominent politicians and cricketers, received the threat earlier today. Local police and the bomb squad have rushed to the scene and are currently conducting a thorough investigation. Further details awaited."
Following the bomb threat email, the DCP Central has issued a statement. The statement reads, “Good morning friends. We received the bomb threat e mail This Morning to Taj West End Hotel in Highgrounds PS our BDDS and ASC team checked premises and found it to be a hoax threat email. We will take a complaint and investigate.”
Haji Ali Gets Bomb Threat
The Taj West End is a luxury hotel that hosts politicians, cricketers, and movie stars. The bomb threat comes two days after Haji Ali Dargah in Worli area of Mumbai received a threat call on September 26. The call was received at the office of the Haji Ali Dargah Trust around 5 pm in which the caller claimed to have placed a bomb inside the dargah and threatened to blow it up.
Bomb squad teams arrived at the dargah and an investigation was launched but nothing suspicious was found on the mosque premises. In a statement, Mumbai police said that “Tardeo PS registered a case against the unknown person and started further investigation.”
Anticipating a terror threat in the Pydhonie area, the Mumbai police on Friday conducted a mock drill. The security dry run followed all the necessary procedures. The dog squad, quick response team, local police and riot control unit were involved in the mock drill.
