Bengaluru: Karnataka’s capital city, Bengaluru is experiencing relentless downpours since Saturday. Heavy rainfall has caused traffic snarls and waterlogging in various parts of the city. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued yellow alert for the IT Hub of India. The maximum temperature is expected to settle around 29 degrees Celsius and maximum will hover around 20 degrees Celsius.

Weekly Forecast BY IMD

From October 20 to October 26, Bengaluru will experience mostly cloudy skies with some rain. On October 20 and 21, temperatures will be between 20.0 degrees Celsius and 29 degrees Celsius, with one or two spells of rain or thundershowers expected. From October 22 to 24, temperatures will range from 21.0 degrees Celsius to 28.0 degrees Celsius, and light rain is likely. On October 25, rain is forecasted, and on October 26, the city will remain generally cloudy with temperatures between 21.0 degrees Celsius and 28.0 degrees Celsius.

The city is likely to see more rain on Monday as well with thunderstorm warnings by the IMD in place. From Tuesday, the intensity of rainfall is likely to decrease with most areas expected to see a cloudy sky and light rain.

The weather conditions will remain the same till Thursday with drizzle likely in many areas. More rain will lash the city on Friday before receding on Saturday.

According to the official X handle of Bengaluru Traffic Police, traffic movement is slow due to Water logging in Kodey junction, Windsor Manner railway bridge, Sankey road, PG Halli, Millers Road Underpass.
