Bengaluru: Karnataka’s capital, Bengaluru, has been making headlines recently due to growing safety concerns in the city. A man recently took to the social media platform Reddit and claimed that a Bengaluru airport taxi driver scammed his friend for 4,000 rupees at midnight and left him midway.
According to the post, the driver initially asked his friend to pay 450 rupees for the ride from Bengaluru airport to his destination. Later, he left his friend midway and demanded 4,000 rupees. Concerned about his safety, the man agreed to pay the amount.
''My friend landed on Bangalore airport at 9 pm and took a cab from airport. Driver says 450 rupees. And friend agreed for this price. Then after 15 minutes driver stopped at the hotel for dinner then he changed his cab and driver also. ''

In a long post on Reddit, the man claimed that the driver stopped at a bar for drinking bear. Later, he again stopped the car at mantri Circle at Bangalore Central and then asked his friend to pay four thousand rupees and get down there.
''New driver come and pickup another two passengers some time before and then stopped at bar for drinking bear. Almost one hour they took for drinking bear. Two hour passed since my friend booked taxi from airport then this driver stopped car at mantri Circle at Bangalore Central and then he say pay me 4k rupees and get down here, I'm not going to electronic city because of some reason. My friend scared because driver has two more people with him and he is new in the Bangalore. He didn't say anything and paid 4k rupees to the driver. ''
The man further questioned the political government for not taking strict action against such drivers. ''Alst now three hours passed and he still in mid road. Then took rikshaw for 800 rupees and come to the location. I have only have a one question why Bangalore is not safe. Why this type of scams going everywhere every day in the city. Why politician government can't take any strict action on this people. Now it's commen in the city. Please be safe.''
