Former Indian cricketer Aakash Chopra has said that the fresh pair of head coach Gautam Gambhir and T20I skipper Suryakumar Yadav are doing a great job together and to show the world time and again that India are world champions is a marvellous approach. He also mentioned that Gambhir, who missed out on a century in the 2011 World Cup final, might also think India missed out on a team triple-century in the game.
Once India broomed away records like rotten twigs while posting 297/6 after electing to bat, it was always a case of eventual margin of victory over Bangladesh and the visitors never offered a meaningful fight, ending up at 164/7 in the third and final T20I.
Chopra lauded Suryakumar and his team of hard-hitters for posting a massive total in Hyderabad on Saturday, October 12.

"The pairing of Gautam Gambhir and Suryakumar Yadav is doing a good job. They started in Sri Lanka, here also they did the same thing and the way they are playing. Being the world champions is one thing but you want to show that to everyone and at times by shaking them," Chopra said while speaking on his YouTube channel.

"It doesn't matter if it's a dead rubber and the opposition team lacks might, we would chase 300 while batting. When you went to bowl, you told the team that you were defending 160. Dhoni's time was about process. Virat Kohli's time was play to win. Rohit Sharma's philosophy was fearless. Suryakumar Yadav is constantly talking about playing selflessly," Chopra said.
Notably, even Suryakumar spoke of having selfless cricketers in the team after pulling off a whitewash over Bangladesh on Saturday. Under-fire Sanju Samson, who hadn't scored many runs in the first two matches, went all guns blazing, not thinking if any of the shots could cost him his wicket and finished off with a match-winning century.
