Chennai: A 19-year old B.com student died by suicide at his home in Chennai’s Kolathur area. Reportedly, the boy took the extreme step after a woman customer scolded him for being late when he went to deliver groceries.
The deceased boy has been identified as J.Pavithran. According to a TOI report, he was working part- time with an aggregator. The incident took place on Tuesday.
According to the police, the delivery was delayed as Pavithran was not able to find woman's house. When he arrived at the location and delivered groceries, thje woman argued with him.
"Later, she raised a complaint with the delivery company and asked them not to send Pavithran again for delivery. We do not know what action was taken by the company," a police source told TOI.
As per the publication, two days after the woman scolded the boy, he allegedly hurled a stone at woman's house and broke a window plane. The woman reported the incident to the police and the boy was let off with a warning.
Police seized the suicide note written by the food delivery person who committed suicide. In that letter, he said, "The reason for my death was only because the customer scolded me harshly at the place where I went to deliver the order. Many deaths happen because such women live in this world."

On September 18, the body of a woman was discovered in an abandoned trolley near Thuraipaakkam in Chennai. Construction workers in the area alerted the police after spotting the trolley. When officers arrived and opened it, they were shocked to find the woman's lifeless body inside. The accused was arrested by Chennai Police today, September 19.
The deceased has been identified as Deepa, a 32-year-old woman sex worker from Manali. Her brother confirmed her identity to the police. Deepa had gone to Thuraipaakkam after being contacted by a broker. When she did not return home, her brother tried to reach her by phone, but it was turned off. Using the "Find My Device" option, he tracked her last known location to Thuraipaakkam and reported her missing to the police there. They advised him to file a missing person report at the Manali police station.
This morning, the Thuraipaakkam police found Deepa’s body in the trolley. The investigation is ongoing, with police reviewing CCTV footage from the area to gather more information. Forensic officials are also expected to visit the scene to assist in the investigation.
