Bayer Leverkusen's star striker, Victor Boniface has luckily escaped a freak accident that could've been even worse for the Nigerian striker. Following the incident, Boniface shared photos and videos on his social media, which shows the deformed condition of his smashed car.
He didn't suffer any major injuries, but in the video it was seen that his arm was dripping with blood. The car was identified to be a black sports car and the visuals now have been removed by the 23-year old footballer from his social media account.
“God is the greatest. God says my time hasn’t come'', the striker shared it on stories of his Instagram account before it was deleted.
The defending Bundesliga champions, Leverkusen are yet to make a comment on the horrific incident. Bild reported that the former Union SG man is doing fine given the circumstances of the accident and he is only slightly injured.
On Saturday, 19th October, he failed to convert a penalty opportunity but then later on headed in the winner to eke out a 2-1 victory over Eintracht Frankfurt at home for his team.
In the ongoing season, he has so far bagged seven goals in 10 games in all competitions for Leverkusen and in a total of 44 games, he has so far scored 28 goals for the German champions.
Last season, he played a crucial role in guiding Leverkusen to their first-ever league title and too unbeaten. Boniface also won the DFB Pokal, which was the club's first-ever domestic triumph since 1993.
At the start of the ongoing season, Leverkusen also pocketed the German Super Cup as well.
