Millet Bread Toast

Prepared with a blend of simple ingredients, follow these easy steps and enjoy your breakfast.

  • 1 cup bajra flour
  • ½ cup curd
  • ¼ cup chopped onion
  • ¼ cup chopped tomatoes
  • ¼ cup shredded carrot
  • 2 tbsp green peas
  • 2 tbsp coriander leaves
  • 1 tbsp ginger garlic paste
  • 1 tsp hing
  • 1 tsp turmeric
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 5 bread slices
  • 2 green chillies
  • Butter for shallow frying
  • Salt to taste

Method

Step 1: In a mixing bowl, add millet flour, curd, carrot, tomato peas, green chillies, coriander and ginger-garlic paste. Add water and prepare a thick consistency.

Step 2: Stir hing, baking soda, turmeric and salt into the mixture. Give it a good mix and apply batter on one side of the bread.

Step 3: Add a spoonful of butter to the non-stick pan and place the battered side of the bread in the pan. Shallow fry until golden brown and apply butter on the other side of the bread. Fry until crisp and ensure that both sides are cooked properly. Serve with tomato ketchup or date chutney and enjoy!
