Bad Newz Review
Our in-house critic appreciated the film saying, “it totally belongs to Vicky Kaushal”. However, “Bad Newz is not bad. But, then it is not great too. It balances somewhere in between. It has its moments, it gags, its rona-dhona-hansna-manaana. What else do you expect from a typical masala Bollywood rom-com backed by Karan Johar? Don't expect anything preachy. The conflict gives way to laughter. Even the real conflict is a passing plot. You know where it's heading. And you know the end too. Still, you may wish to indulge. When the jokes are on the actors outside the world of Bad Newz, you laugh the most. And when they play retro songs, some of them straight out of the Dharma and YRF universe, you laugh louder.”
Bad Newz Box Office
Bad Newz performed well at the box office. The lifetime worldwide collection was Rs. 115.74 crores. Domestically, it did a business of Rs. 66 crores.
