Mumbai police had arrested Gurmail Baljit Singh (23), a resident of Haryana and Dharmaraj Rajesh Kashyap (19), from Uttar Pradesh, whereas there one aide, who was at the spot during the firing, fled from the spot. The accused were produced before the court by the crime branch team, where Dharmaraj Kashyap's lawyer claimed that he was a minor. Who was Baba Siddique?
Baba Siddique joined the Congress party as a teenager and served three terms as an MLA from Mumbai’s Bandra West constituency. After 48 years with the party, he left Congress and joined Ajit Pawar's NCP in February 2023.

Who Killed Baba Siddique?
Lawrence Bishnoi gang today claimed responsibility for the killing of Baba Siddique, a day after the former minister was gunned down outside his son Zeeshan Siddique's office in Bandra East. A Facebook account named Shubbu Lonkar Maharashtra claimed responsibility for the murder, accusing actor Salman Khan of starting a "war".
