Fawzia Amin Sido, a Yazidi woman, who was held in captivity for over a decade spoke about ISIS atrocities during a chat with British documentary filmmaker Alan Duncan. She was recently rescued from Gaza by the Israeli Defence Forces (IDF) and the US embassy. Sido said that she was fed the meat of slaughtered babies, was drugged and raped during her time in Syria.
Sido was kidnapped when she was 11. She was one of thousands of the Yazidi people who suffered in the hands of the ISIS. An estimated 5000 were murdered and over 10,000 were taken hostage.
The 21-year-old told filmmaker Duncan that she and other hostages felt sick after consuming food in captivity. It was only then that ISIS members revealed that they had been eating cooked babies.

Speaking after her release, she told The Sun: "They cooked rice and also meat and brought it to us. Because we were so hungry, we just ate what was on the table. While we were eating we knew something was wrong because the taste was weird but we just ate because we were hungry. After, we all had stomach ache and felt sick."
"When we were done, they told us that the meat was from the babies," Fawzia added. "There was a woman who had a heart attack at that moment and died. They showed us pictures of the beheaded kids and babies and said 'these are the kids you ate'. It is very hard but it was not our fault, they forced us but of course it is very hard for us that this happened. Nothing was in our hands."

Sido further revealed that she was imprisoned for nine months in an underground prison. "We were held in the dark the whole time. We never saw the sunlight. We were in a prison, we didn't do anything, we couldn't go outside. We had to drink dirty water, some children died. It was a very tough time. These men came in and if they liked a girl they took them with them."
The 21-year-old said that she was bought and sold five times by IS fighters in Syria. The fifth person was a Palestinian ISIS militant. He drugged and raped Fawzia, who was 15 at the time.
She said: "At the beginning, I would hide in the bathroom until he was asleep because I didn't know what he wanted from me. I was scared. I didn't want him to do anything. When he noticed I was hiding, one day he gave me drugs and I fell asleep and he raped me."
