apple to launch m4 powered macbook pro, imac, ipad mini on november 1st, gurman reports

In the latest Power On newsletter, Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman reveals that Apple’s anticipated late fall hardware releases will be unveiled in late October, with product launches expected on November 1st. These releases include a range of MacBook Pro models and other devices powered by the upcoming M4 chip.

The lineup includes a lower-end 14-inch MacBook Pro with the M4 chip, alongside higher-end 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pros with M4 Pro and M4 Max chips. Apple will also introduce a new iMac powered by the M4, a redesigned Mac mini with M4 and M4 Pro variants, and a new iPad mini.

Interestingly, Gurman notes the absence of the entry-level iPad (iPad 11) from this release cycle. This model, initially expected to launch in late 2023, is now anticipated for release in early 2024, aligning with reports from other analysts.

Looking ahead, Gurman projects several product releases in the first half of 2025. These include the M4-powered 13-inch and 15-inch MacBook Airs, a new iPhone SE, refreshed 11-inch and 13-inch iPad Airs, new Magic Keyboards for iPad Air, and an updated version of the AirTag. Additionally, new Mac Studio and Mac Pro models with M4 chips are in development, with the Mac Studio likely launching mid-2025 and the Mac Pro closer to the end of the year.

These projections align with earlier expectations for Apple’s product timeline, with a new round of iPhone 17 and M5-powered Macs expected in fall 2025 as part of the company’s ongoing product cycle.
