Pickleball has been a revelation as the racquet sport has managed to conquer the world with its unique playing style. It has been one of the most popular sports around the world and has seen its popularity skyrocket in the last few years.
Many eminent tennis players shifted their attention to pickleball with Andre Agassi, Steffi Graf, Andy Roddick and Eugenie Bouchard being at the forefront. These four former tennis players have been regular on pickleball courts and will be seen together in the upcoming Pickleball Slam 3 which is all set to take place at the Michelob ULTRA Arena at Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino, Las Vegas in February next year.
Agassi and Roddick triumphed in the inaugural edition as they defeated John McEnroe and Michael Chan and this time they will be pitted against each other. With a staggering $1 million prize money at stake, tempers are expected to flare in the event.
Ahead of the event, Agassi and Graf issued a warning to Roddick and Bouchard. In a video uploaded by ‘The Pickleball Slam’ on Instagram the pair said, "We just want you to know, Andy and Genie, that to us, you’ll always be family.
"Andy, you’ve been like a younger brother to me.
"And Genie, you spent time down here in Las Vegas with us. "But on February 16, you are the enemy. Can’t wait to see you."
Pickleball League Asia Private Limited in association with The Times Group launched the Pickleball World Rankings (PWR) at a grand event in Dubai on July 24. The PWR DUPR Indian League and Tour will have an exciting schedule, and it will make a stop in Mumbai and Tsu, Japan, followed by Ahmedabad (March 2025), Pune (June 2025), Bengaluru (August 2025), Hyderabad (September 2025), New Delhi (October 2025) and Chennai (November 2025).
