Navya Naveli Nanda on coming from a 'privileged background'
AtIndia Today Mumbai Conclave 2024‘s Beyond the Legacy: Gen Z for a Just and Equal India session, Navya said, “Not just me; everyone has a legacy to carry forward. We all play a very strong part in living up to that. I am most passionate about social impact, business. That’s where I see my future and my efforts lie. Irrespective of the background I come from, this is what I always wanted to do. It is about me being an individual, me being a young woman in India who wants to play my own part to make society a better place. We all have a responsibility to do that. I am grateful for all the opportunities that are my reality today. That is not the reality for many people in India. I never wanted to act.”

Navya further spoke about her social media presence and social media trolling. At first, she said that social media has been a great platform because it's given voice to a lot of people, and it's a great place to put your work out there. She added that if used in the right way, it has the potential to bring about a great change.
She then added, "I don't take offence from anything that people say. I come from a very privileged background. My reality has been different from that of many women in the country. I don't give too much thought to what people say negatively."
