Alaska Airlines faced an IT issue on Monday disrupting its website, mobile app and other operations. Passengers struggled in booking flights and check-in procedures. Several passengers took to X, formerly Twitter to state down their issues with the airlines' website and app.
People React To The Issue
One user said, "Now Alaska Air you can't tell me to check out the Black Friday deal and your website crashing out."
Another person said, "Alaska air is doing a cyber deal and of course the website is down."
"Alaska Air today: Hey we have this great sale! Also AA: Yeah but our website isn't working so good luck," said a third person on X.
Alaska Air Responds
Following people's concerns regarding the issue, the Airline responded to individuals on X, saying that the 'IT team' was aware about the outage and is working to fix it.
"So sorry we are having some technical issues on Alaskaair.com and our IT team is aware and working on it," the airline responded to a customer on X.
The airline also responded to another customer recommending to try "accessing the website after an hour."
"We have heard things are loading very slowly right now," the airlines said while responding to another frustated customer.
Previous Website Outage Incidents Of Alaska Airlines
Alaska Airlines had faced an IT issue in September 2024, that caused all Alaska Airlines planes to be grounded at Seattle-Tacoma International Airport, according to KING 5 news.
The airline also faced a cybersecurity attack in August 2024 that led to a series of flight disruptions.
