adil rashid achieves huge record, becomes first england spinner to...

England and Australia are locking horns in the second ODI of the five-match series in Leeds. After losing the first ODI, England are aiming to make a solid return. The Three Lions have done their job with the ball and bowled out Australia for a total of. Adil Rashid played a key role with the ball and scalped two wickets in his 10-over spell.

The senior leg-spinner only spent 42 runs and kept Australia's scoring rate under check. Rashid created history with the wicket of Glenn Maxwell and became the first England spinner to scalp 200 wickets in ODIs.

Rashid was just one wicket short of the milestone and etched his name in history books with his first wicket of the day. The 36-year-old made his ODI debut against Ireland in 2009 and is playing his 137th ODI.

The list of England bowlers with the most ODI wickets is topped by James Anderson. The legendary pacer dismissed 269 batsmen in 194 ODIs. He is followed by Darren Gough, who scalped 234 wickets. Following Gough is Rashid, who has 201 scalps.

Stuart Broad has 178 wickets and sits at the fourth spot. With 173 wickets, Chris Woakes is at the fifth position. Rashid is the only spinner in the top five list.

England chasing 256

England have been asked to chase a target of 256 in the second ODI of the series. They are without the services of Jos Buttler. Harry Brook is leading the home team in the series.

Australia captain Mitchell Marsh smashed a brilliant 60 off 59 balls. Alex Carey gave the finishing touch to the team's total and hit 65 off 59 balls. Matthew Short (29) and Travis Head (29) provided a decent start to Australia by adding 46 runs for the first wicket but they failed to convert their starts into big scores.
