New Delhi: Bollywood actor Chunky Pandey is the first celebrity in the industry to own the new Kia Carnival limousine. The actor, who is also the father of actress Ananya Pandey, was recently spotted in Mumbai with his new vehicle, a white fifth-generation Kia Carnival. The new MPV, which was launched in India in October, is priced at Rs 64 lakh (ex-showroom). In a video shared on social media, Chunky was seen getting out of the three-row vehicle with his daughter.
The new Kia Carnival comes with several upgraded features compared to the previous model. It has a dual curved display with a 12.3-inch infotainment screen that supports wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, along with a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster. The car also includes a 12-speaker Bose sound system, a 360-degree camera, an 11-inch head-up display, ventilated and electrically adjustable seats, three-zone climate control, and a dual sunroof. Additionally, it has connected car features and electrically-operated sliding doors.
Under the hood, the Kia Carnival runs on a 2.2-liter diesel engine that makes 190 bhp and 441 Nm of torque, paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission. Kia has made adjustments to the engine and steering for a better driving experience.
Safety features have also been upgraded, with the new model now including ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems), along with eight airbags, rear disc brakes, ESC, Hill Assist, a tire pressure monitoring system, and parking sensors on all sides of the car.
The Pandey family also owns a Range Rover SUV, recently purchased by Ananya Pandey. Before Chunky, former cricketer Suresh Raina was one of the first to buy the new Kia Carnival in India. Raina’s car collection includes high-end vehicles like a Porsche Boxster, MINI Cooper, Mercedes-Benz GLE, and Audi Q7.
