aap minister saurabh bhardwaj falls at bjp leader vijender gupta feet high drama in delhi as bus marshals' jobs row escalates: watch

New Delhi: The row over bus marshals’ jobs escalated in the national capital on Saturday and a high drama took place outside the secretariat and LG office after CM Atishi, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) ministers and the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leaders got engaged in a spat. The issue has ignited a fresh war of words between the two parties and has further stretched the forever tussle between the Delhi government and the LG.

The bus marshals have been protesting to get reinstated after Delhi Lieutenant Governor VK Saxena terminated their services in October last year.

However, on Saturday, the AAP accused the BJP of betraying them and Delhi minister Saurabh Bhardwaj even fell at BJP leader Vijender Gupta's feet. Delhi CM Atishi sat in her car after which Bhardwaj was seen shouting, "Gupta ji dhund rahe haii kaun si gaadi see bhaa jaye (Gupta ji is seeing which car he can sit inside to run away)."

Later, he was seen falling at Gupta's feet and everyone around him started shouting with AAP leaders agitating against the BJP. AAP MP Sanjay Singh shared the video on X and said, "See the reality of BJP, Delhi.

Just to get the jobs of the marshals restored. Chief Minister @AtishiAAP ji sat in LOP Brijendra Gupta's car to go to LG with him."

"Gupta ji is not sitting in his own car. These are the culprits of the bus marshals. Recognize them. BJP people have snatched your livelihood. Teach them a lesson," he aded.

"Today, the BJP has betrayed 10,000 bus marshals. Vijender Gupta has promised us that if we pass the resolution from the cabinet they will regularise bus marshals through the LG. But, today, both – the LG and BJP leaders have betrayed bus marshals and the people of Delhi," the minister told the reporters.

They held a protest outside the Delhi LG office after which some of them were detained by the police. AAP alleged that the saffron party stepped back from its promise of requesting LG to regularise the bus marshals and civil defence volunteers.
