Kamilla Belyatskaya was a 24-year-old actress from Novosibirsk, Russia. She was visiting Thailand with her boyfriend. The tragic accident occurred while she was performing yoga on a pink mat perched on a cliff.

The Horrific Incident

The incident unfolded on a Friday afternoon while Kamilla meditated. A bystander, witnessing the accident, dived into the water to rescue her but was unsuccessful. The fate of the rescuer remains unclear at this time, according to Khaosod English.

Moments before her death, Kamilla posted an emotional message expressing her joy:

"Thank you, universe, for me being here right now. I'm very happy. I'm happy!"

Rescue Operations

Emergency teams arrived promptly but were unable to save her. Her body was later discovered approximately two-thirds of a mile from where the incident occurred. Local authorities gathered testimonies from her boyfriend and eyewitnesses regarding the tragedy.

"During monsoon season, we constantly warn tourists, especially in high-risk areas like Chaweng and Lamai beaches, where red flags indicate no swimming," said Chaiyaporn Subprasert, head of the Samui Rescue Centre.

He then added, "while the incident's location is not a swimming area but rather a viewpoint for scenery, the victim may have been caught off guard by the unexpected wave surge."
