Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar actress Manisha Koirala, who plays Mallikajaan on the Netflix period drama, attended the 5th Danube Properties Filmfare OTT Awards 2024 in Mumbai on December 1. As she walked down the star-studded red carpet, the star of the Sanjay Leela Bhansali show was asked to recreate her iconic dialogue which she did with gusto. TheKhamoshi star also shared some other tidbits on the red carpet, check them out below!

Manisha Koirala recreates Heeramandi dialogue on the red carpetStating that she was excited to attend the awards, Manisha narrated one of the show's iconic dialogues which stated, "Heeramandi mein sikka Mallikajaan ka chalta hain." The actress also shared that if any Bollywood character could get their own OTT show, it would be her character Shaila Bano from Mani Ratnam's 1995 Bombay opposite Arvind Swamy. She also recommended her own series to viewers to binge on OTT.

Manisha was nominated for Best Actor, Series (Female): Drama for her performance in Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar. Her co-star Sonakshi Sinha was also nominated in the category as were actresses Huma Qureshi for Maharani Season 3, Konkona Sen Sharma for Mumbai Diaries Season 2, Sobhita Dhulipala for Made In Heaven Season 2 and Sushmita Sen for Taali.

Created by Sanjay Leela Bhansali, Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar premiered on Netflix on May 1. It also stars Aditi Rao Hydari, Richa Chadha, Sanjeeda Sheikh, Sharmin Segal Mehta and Taha Shah Badussha in pivotal roles. The Hindi period drama, which picked up other technical awards like Best Cinematography and Best Costume Design, is returning for a second season in 2025.
