India have a packed month lined up where they will play four Tests against Australia. The team started the series in fine fashion and won the Border-Gavaskar Trophy (BGT) opener by 295- runs. The series is of utmost importance for India as a 4-0 win will make India qualify for their third consecutive World Test Championship (WTC) final.
After the BGT, India will turn their attention to white-ball cricket where they will host England for five T20Is and three ODIs. The series will kick off with the T20I-led on January 22.
The India squad for the T20I series could see many big guns who are part of the BGT rested to manage their workload. The series will be followed by the ICC Champions Trophy and India would want their ace players fresh for the marquee event.

India's Predicted Squad For England T20Is
India last played T20I cricket in South Africa where they won the four-match series 3-1. Most of the players who played in South Africa are likely to find a place in the T20I squad for the England series. The team will be led by Suryakumar Yadav.
Abhishek Sharma and Sanju Samson should be the two openers. There has been a lot of talk about Ruturaj Gaikwad and how he's been ignored by the selectors. Gaikwad could also find a place in the squad as a backup to the openers. Suryakumar Yadav, Rinku Singh, Tilak Varma, Jitesh Sharma, and Hardik Pandya will be other key batters of the side.
Axar Patel, Kuldeep Yadav or Ravi Bishnoi, and Varun Chakravarthy should be the spin options for India while Harshit Rana, Arshdeep Singh, Yash Dayal, and possibly Avesh Khan could find a place in the squad.
