In a major blow, Josh Hazlewood has been ruled out of the second Test against India with a side strain. The 33-year-old won't be available for the Day-night Test in Adelaide and Scott Boland is expected to take up his place in the starting XI.
A Cricket Australia statement confirmed the home side has added uncapped pair Sean Abbott and Brendan Doggett to the squad.

"Josh Hazlewood has been ruled out of the second Test in Adelaide with a side strain, with two uncapped bowlers called up as cover.
"Sean Abbott and Brendan Doggett have both been added to the squad for the second NRMA Insurance Test match against India in Adelaide that will be played under lights."
Hazlewood claimed five wickets in the previous pink ball Test held at the Adelaide Oval and was supposed to play a pivotal part in this game. But his absence could hand India a definite advantage in the second match.
The hosts were handed a thrashing in the first Test and they would need to restore parity in order to secure a place in the World Test Championship final. Following the Perth win, India leapfrogged Australia to the top of the WTC points table.
